Time and efficiency gains for TP&H Group
TP&H Group from Herentals was looking for a practical solution to download and manage tachograph data. At OpenICT the company found such a solution: Orditool digiDL.
Downloading the data from the digital tachograph and the driver cards takes time. Too much time. “We used to be able to do that by hand, but with the expansion of our fleet, which today counts 200 trucks, that activity alone represents a part-time job. After all, you have to reckon on a quarter of an hour per truck and per operation.” The speaker is Nathalie Vandijck, HR manager of the TP&H Group.
Fewer empty kilometres
In OpenICT, Nathalie Vandijck has found the ideal partner to make the management of the tachograph data run more smoothly. “Today we have already equipped all our new Euro 6 vehicles with the digiDL from OpenICT. In addition we use the Orditool software program to consult the results and to check parameters such as compliance with driving and rest times. Orditool offers us a perfect overview and speeds up our payroll administration to a large extent.”
Because TP&H Group renews its fleet at very regular intervals, by the end of the year 80 vehicles (out of 200) will have been equipped with digiDL. “The other big advantage of the system is that we no longer have to wait until the driver calls at the home base before we can have his data”, continues Hans Nietvelt, fleet manager. “Previously every driver had to come by here between the 1st and the 10th of the month. That went hand in hand with a great deal of lost efficiency and empty kilometres. The Orditool digiDL solution avoids those unnecessary kilometres and it also allows us to organise the follow-up from several sites.”

Thanks to the tachograph solution from Orditool, TP&H Group has been able to cut its number of empty kilometres. At the same time, payroll management was greatly simplified.
